Building the perfect menu

This summer my daughter and her husband are staying with us. I love having them and one thing I wanted to spend time doing with my daughter is building a menu and a grocery list from that menu.
We started with the entree and worked out from there. I will start with the recipes

Aunt Paula's Chicken Casserole
So easy even I can do it!
There are four layers, and we adapted to fit what our family likes.
Layer 1~broccoli, or zucchini
Layer 2~cut up cooked chicken
Layer 3~cream of chicken soup
Layer 4~stove top stuffing, prepared. I also add craisins
Cook @ 350* for 45 minutes

I serve this with a simple green salad.

Homemade Pizza is another household favorite. We have evolved our recipe over the years, and now we do a whole wheat crust.

Whole wheat Pizza

Put in a bowl and let it stand for 5 minutes:
1 tsp. sugar
1pkg. yeast
3/4 c. hot water

Then add mixture of:
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. oil

Knead, cover, let raise 45 minutes, put in pan and raise again 10 minutes.
We use speggiti sauce, and then top with whatever toppings we have. One of our favorites is pineapple and ham.
350* 15~20 minutes
